An F16 fighter jet, flying from Germany to the US, was involved in an emergency landing at Prestwick Airport on Sunday 9th January.

The jet, after suffering a fuel leak, was forced to land at the Scottish airport.

Prestwick Airport, in line with its emergency response programme, immediately contacted local Fire, Police and Ambulance services. The F16 jet landed safely, alongside another F16 jet which was accompanying the fighter jet.
