Ryanair has announced it is to increase services to five destinations from Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

From May, the airline will add extra flights to Malaga, Alicante, Palma, Faro and Carcassonne.

Flights to Malaga and Palma will increase to seven flights each per week, flights to Alicante and Faro will operate six times per week, and services to Carcassonne will be increased to three per week.

Ryanair has six aircraft based at Prestwick offering 29 European destinations.

Glasgow Prestwick Chief Executive Iain Cochrane said: “This is more excellent news for the airport. As well as these welcome extra services, we have new Ryanair routes starting to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands and Ibiza next month, plus summer flights to Jersey and Turkey with other airlines.
