Wizz Air confirmed today it has successfully introduced the airline’s new cabin baggage policy that limits the number of large cabin bags on board.
Wizz Air passengers departing yesterday from more than 80 airports adhered to the new baggage policy by bringing either a free small cabin bag (up to 42x32x25cm) or a large cabin bag (up to 56x45x25cm) on board, after paying a €10 online fee during their booking.
During the first full day of operation no baggage related delays were registered.
Wizz Air confirms it will continue to incentivize its customers to travel smart and light by bringing only small cabin bags on board adding more savings to the low fares already enjoyed by over 1 million monthly passengers. Goods purchased at the airport after security (an important source of revenue for Wizz Air’s airport partners) will continue to be allowed in the cabin for free. This new policy does not apply to bookings made before 4 October or to flights operated by Wizz Air Ukraine (WAU).
