Robin Hood Airport seized a record number of offensive weapons over the summer months, the UK Boarder Agency has reported. Over 100 weapons were seized, including samurai swords, throwing stars, machetes, stun guns, CS gas and firearms.

The weapons were hauled from aircrafts entering the UK from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Ibiza, Majorca and Turkey.

Working alongside the South Yorkshire Police, the UK Boarder Agency said that all the seized weapons have since been destroyed.
