This week a new service took off by Eastern Airways, out of Southampton Airport to Leeds.
The flights run three times a day, Monday to Friday, and soon to launch a Sunday service.
On the day of launch, , Southampton Airport’s Managing Director, Dave Lees said: “It has been a pleasure to greet Eastern Airways passengers arriving for the inaugural Leeds flights today and we are delighted to welcome the airline back onto this important route between Southampton and Leeds.”
The Eastern Airways flights are designed to appeal to business travellers, with flexible flight times that will allow a full day of business, departing = Southampton Airport at 08.20, 16.05 and 18.40 and departing from Leeds Bradford Airport at 06.50, 10.20 and 17.10.
Speaking about the new service and its flight times, Eastern Airways’ Commercial Director, Kay Ryan, said: “Our business schedule and timings between two of the country’s busiest commercial centres are ideally suited to the needs of business travellers across the Hampshire and south coast region. Our flights save commuters valuable time compared to alternative road or rail options.”
