Stansted Airport has reported considerable passenger increases in February.
The airport saw nearly 1.18 million passengers fly out of its terminal this February, up by 6.9% compared to the same month last year.
In the last rolling year, up to February 14, the airport flew 17.99 million passengers, which equates to a 3% increase year-on-year.
The increases have been helped by several new operations flying out of the airport by Ryanair, new airlines joining the roster, like Pegasus Airlines and more and more long haul destinations being added.
The airport’s Managing Director, Andrew Harrison, said “The fact that the number of passengers passing through Stansted in February was 6.9% up on last year underlines just how much Stansted has changed for the better in M.A.G’s ownership, and reflects the strong confidence of our airlines as they grow the number of services offered from the airport.”
