Brand Finance has named Aeroflot as the most powerful airline brand in the world.
In its annual report, the valuation and strategy consultancy evaluate the world’s top 50 airlines to establish their power and strength in the market place. This is based on a number of factors, including marketing investment, familiarity, loyalty, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation. Once evaluated, the results are given a rating of up to AAA+.
And this year Aeroflot achieved the highest rating, being awarded an AAA result. Aeroflot carries huge weight in its home country of Russia, as well as giving stiff competition to foreign airlines in home and overseas markets.
In a press release, speaking about the results, Aeroflot’s Chief Executive Officer, Vitaly Saveliev, said, “Aeroflot is honoured to be named the world’s strongest airline brand. This recognition reflects not just our 93-year legacy as the No.1 air carrier in the world’s biggest country, but also our best-in-class service offering on domestic and international routes, the youngest fleet of any major carrier globally, and of course our marketing efforts. Our current focus is on digitising Aeroflot – whether the customer experience or the behind-the-scenes management of logistics. As we continue to deliver on these goals and others, we are confident that the Aeroflot brand will grow ever stronger and both passengers and the industry will continue to recognise it as synonymous with excellence.”
