British Airways has launched its new service out of London City to Costa Blanca.
The summer sun hot spot in Alicante will operate four times a week, with a flight time of just two and a half hours, flying each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
As well as a week or two in the sun, these convenient flight times also offer travellers the choice of a long weekend or mid-week summer get away.
And with prices starting from just £55 each way, there’s never been a better time to travel – especially given the UK’s dreadful weather!
This sees the airline serving 63 weekly flights to seven different Spanish routes – Alicante, Madrid, Granada, Malaga, Ibiza, Palma and Mahon – as the Spain remains the UK’s most favourite holiday destination.
Speaking about the new route, which took its inaugural flight this week, Luke Hayhoe, General Manager Commercial and Customer for BA at London City, said: “While everyone is still getting over our exit from the football finals this is a fantastic opportunity to escape the disappointment – and the British weather – and head off to sunny Spain. We are delighted to be able to provide direct services from London City to one of the most popular tourist regions of Spain for the first time.”
