Strong Demand for New Southend Flybe Routes

Demand is proving to be strong for the new Flybe (operated by Stobart Air) routes to Groningen, Muster Osnabruck and Rennes.

Take off commences on 5 June, with advance bookings already well exceeding 10,000.

The routes are just three of six new destinations on offer from London Southend Airport by Flybe and Stobart Air.

Services to Rennes, Groningen and Münster Osnabrück will commence on 5 June, with services to Cologne Bonn, Caen Normandie and Antwerp starting on 3 July. From 10 July the Maastricht route will come into operation. The new Flybe routes announced last month will be operated by its franchise partner, Stobart Air, under a five-year agreement.

Chief Commercial Officer of Stobart Air, Simon Fagan, said “With almost 10,000 tickets already sold, we are on course to meet our target of carrying up to 700,000 passengers on our new London Southend routes within three years. Weekend bookings are quite popular and we are seeing a surge in weekday bookings as the launch day approaches.”
